NGF Volunteer Megan Geren Voted Volunteer of the Year

June 14, 2012 – Cumming, GA – Next Generation Focus’ very own Megan Geren (pictured in the middle, with Amy Sol on the right) received the Adult Volunteer of the Year Award during the 2012 Celebration of Hands, sponsored by the Forsyth County Community Connection, a non-profit organization that matches volunteers to charity groups in the county.  For details see the feature article in Forsyth County News, the feature article in North Fulton Herald, or the feature article on patch.com.

Here’s what Megan Geren previously wrote to reflect her experience volunteering at Next Generation Focus:

“I am a first grade teacher in the same area that NGF serves.  I have seen firsthand the impact that this organization is making on the community.  They are working to help local schools reach struggling students.  In addition to the academic support that they provide, they are also giving these students positive experiences. Students at NGF know that they are important and that they can succeed in school. The high school volunteers provide students with positive role models to encourage them to try their very best at school. I feel extremely blessed to be a part of such a phenomenal organization!”

Congratulations, Megan!  We are so proud and happy to have you as part of our organization!
