NGF Receives Grant from The Catholic Foundation

December 7, 2017 – Cumming, GA – Next Generation Focus (NGF) is pleased to announce it has received a $2,000 grant from the Catholic Foundation. These funds will support NGF’s anchor program SmarterMe® Academy and Summer Program.

SmarterMe® Academy and Summer Program provide low-cost tutoring and enrichment to PreK-8 students from low-income families, who are a grade level or more behind their peers in reading, mathematics, and other subjects.  SmarterMe® Programs provide students with subsidized tutoring on reading, math and other grade-appropriate subjects, as well as STEM enrichment activities.  During the SmarterMe® Academy Program students attend sessions four times a week, on weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings during the school year.  During SmarterMe® Summer Program students attend classes during the summer months to retain what they have learned during the school year.

“We are grateful for the continual support from the Catholic Foundation,” said Amy Sol, the Executive Director of NGF.  “This is the second year that we have received a grant from the Foundation.  We are glad that it appreciates the work that we do in early childhood literacy and look forward to many years of close partnership to come.”
